В публикации рассматриваются вопросы связанные с оценкой благоустройства городских ландшафтов малых городов. Создание комфортной среды для проживания — одна из важнейших экосистемных функций городских ландшафтов, которая решается в первую очередь благоустройством и ландшафтным дизайном. Оценка благоустройства поможет понять и выявить проблемные направления в городе, на которые необходимо направить усилия городским властям. В статье предложена методика оценки благоустройства путем описания точек наблюдения по городу и приведен пример ее реализации для оценки малых городов Липецкой области. Проведенная оценка показала не очень высокий уровень благоустройства в малых городах, в том числе, указав на существование определенного мифа о более высоком качестве городского ландшафта в них по сравнению с крупными городами.
The article deals with the issues related to the assessment of urban landscape accomplishment in small towns. Comfortable living environment is one of the most important ecosystem functions of urban landscapes, which is solved primarily by landscape design. The accomplishment assessment will help to understand and identify the problem areas in the city that needs to be addressed to the city authorities. The article proposes a method for assessing the accomplishment by describing the observation points of the city and provides an example of its implementation for the assessment of small towns in the Lipetsk region. The conducted assessment showed not very high level of landscape accomplishment in small cities. That is pointing to the existence of a certain myth about the higher quality of the urban landscape in small towns compared to large cities.
